Our spooky story with MyBuilder aims to prove that your house isn’t actually haunted; it’s just the dodgy pipes and squeaky floorboards making noises.

A third of Brits believe their house is haunted, and 52% said they heard spooky sounds at night, so we tasked experienced tradesman Andy Simms to prove that the haunting noises were more likely to be simple problems that require fixing. The campaign included an explainer video – ‘Ghosts or Guttering’, which identifies the ‘seven deadly sounds’ that are most likely to be troubling the nation.
